An aging publisher who's fighting hard to keep his job after a younger man wants to take it from him get's bitten by a wolf one night. As he starts to form a relationship with his bosses daughter he starts to realize it was no normal wolf that bit him and he's slowly turning into a werewolf.

Jack Nicholson, Michelle Pfeiffer and James Spader lead the cast in this fun, well made movie. A good supporting cast including Christopher Plummer, David Hyde Pierce and Prunella Scales also add an air of respectability to it. More of a thriller than an full on horror movie it still has enough things in it to keep horror fan happy. It's quite low on gore and there's no Anerican Werewolf In London style transformation scenes but the effects are still pretty good.

The cinematography, acting and script are all good and there's a few good scares and plenty of atmosphere throughout. This little gem doesn't really get talked about much but I've always loved it and if you're looking for a slightly different style of a werewolf movie then this is one I'd definitely recommend you seek out.
