While out enjoying a bachelor party the groom to be discovers a pretty young woman seemingly being held captive in a locked room. He helps her to escape only to find she was held in there for a reason.

This is a movie based on the opening story titled "Amateur Night" from the first V/H/S movie. Hannah Fierman reprises her role as the creature and manages to come across just as scary as she did in the short story and is excellent in the role. The rest of the cast are fine and the movie looks good. The effects are well done and it has some decent gore. If you've seen the original Amateur Night episode then you'll know what to expect here, and in that respect it does what it sets out to do. I still prefer the V/H/S segment over this but both are definitely worth watching, even just for Fireman's performance who manages to make you feel both scared and sad for her as the movie goes on.
