Satan War (1979)

A young couple move into a new house only to be terrorized by unseen satanic forces.

There's a very good reason this film is so rare and obscure and that's because no one wanted to waste time releasing or watching it. I'm pretty sure the only VHS release it got was here in the UK and even that disappeared into obscurity almost overnight. The acting is poor, the production is poor and there's no effects to speak of. We get a cross on a wall that turns upside down a few times. Some red goo spewing out of an oven. Some green goo that comes from somewhere and a woman is attacked by an unseen force on a couple of occasions. After an hours runtime the couple walk around the house at night holding crucifixes in front of them, they exit the house, get in the car and drive off, and that's it, really!.

For the remaining 16 or 17 minutes of the movies runtime we get a group of people performing some voodoo dancing while a guy bangs a drum. It has no connection to anything else and exists only to pad the run time to feature length. The only thing it has in common with the first hour is the fact it's all filmed so dark that you can't see shit!.

The UKs VHS release was also cut and is missing a whole scene at the start which shows a satanic ritual being performed (probably in the house) which would explain some of the strange happenings when the couple move in, I don't know and I'm buggered if I'm tracking it down to watch it all again to see. If you're into looking for the most obscure movies to watch then this will be a must see, anyone else can live a happy life having never watched it.
