A young couple on a hiking trip stumble upon a strange collection of dolls in the woods. They are soon fighting for their lives as a masked killer hunts them down for being on this sacred ground. When the woman is captured she's forced to live like a baby and there's seemingly no way to escape.

There's some interesting ideas here, a couple of them even quite effective, but by the end of the movie I was left feeling something was definitely missing. The acting is fine, as is the dialogue. The effects range from okay to pretty brutal and it was nice to see plenty of old fashioned practical effects being used. The killer looks pretty good and is quite imposing and is played by a pro wrestle called Max The Impaler, sadly though it's just not that scary. The film is based on a 2022 short called Babygirl and I think trying to expand that into a feature length movie means there was just too much filler. If this had remained a 30-40 min short it would work a lot better. It does have some grim scenes and there is some entertainment to be had. I did enjoy it more than some seem to but I doubt it'll be one I return to that often in the future.

As said the acting is decent for the most part and at least they tried, unlike a lot of these low budget efforts. The movie does look good and woods always offer a fairly creepy setting to film in. Go in with an open mind and there's some fun to be had.
