A cop
is killed during an investigation as to why corpses seem to be coming back to
life and comitting crimes. His partner and a pathologist use a machine to bring
him back to life but he only has a short time to solve the case before his body
decomposes.
I love
this fun B-movie mix of horror and comedy. A great cast including Vincent Price
(who is sadly underused), Treat Williams, Darren McGavin, Joe Piscapo and
Lindsey Frost all look to be having a good time with the dumb dialogue and
exciting action. Great gore with most being practiical effects (ahhh, the good
old days before crappy CG gore took over) and some fun visual effects all add
to the madness. Is this the best film you'll rever see?, No!, But it's one of
the many gems that popped up during the 80s and is still as fun to watch today
as it was back then. If you've never seen it before then grab some beer and
snacks, put your last couple of brain cells to bed, sit back and
enjoy.
